I’m an English major in my Junior year, and it’s really starting to dawn on me how little reading I do. I want to have access to a lot of classic prose and poetry, but I haven’t been able to tell by looking around the internet which device/digital store offers a larger selection.

I’ve the Kindle 2. Indeed, I choose the Amazon Kindle because it has a much better book selection compared to the Sony Reader. Books for the Kindle are much cheaper too, some are even free.
I own the Kindle 2 and I like it very much. It is better than Sony Reader because Amazon provide good content support, and the number of books available in Kindle format is kept on increasing (right now there are 300,000 Kindle books). Sony Reader, however, many users complain that it is difficult to find suitable books, and books on it are more expensive than the Kindle.
Other benefits of the Kindle over Sony Reader include the free wireless internet access, and the text-to-speech function.
If you need to read PDF with charts and graphics, you may want to go for the Kindle DX.
Hope this helps.
The Amazon Kindle is famous for providing great selection of books.
Must be the Amazon Kindle without a thought.
