| After looking at the options, I thought it made sense to pay an extra 15 dollars and get this cover (in the color of my choice) instead of the Amazon standard cover. I'm very glad I did. The leather is of excellent quality similar to Filofax planners, the color is gorgeous, the Kindle locks in securely. I love that the cover includes pockets (that I use for notes about books I'd like to buy) and a tab to secure the cover closed when it is in my bag. The cover does about double the weight and thickness of the Kindle, but, for me, that's a good trade for the protection it gives. The Kindle is inserted and removed in a matter of seconds if one prefers to use the Kindle without a cover when not on the move, though I love to fold the M-Edge cover back and use it as a bit of a support as I read. |

Just received this cover today (in purple, but same model), about 3 weeks after ordering from Amazon. Granted, it was ordered before the product was even complete so I was ok with the wait. It is very similar in look and feel to a Dooney and Bourke pocketbook if you are familiar with them. It has a great leather smell, just like a new purse. And the additional room on the binder side (meant for the e-Luminator light - sold separately) gives you a nice place to hold the cover with the Kindle attached.
I love the hinge system, one of the main reasons I bought it. Coming from the K1, the original case Amazon provided was functional but the Kindle always fell out. So when Amazon improved the hinge for the K2, I knew I would only buy a case that had that feature. One word of note, I initially did not "lock" the K2 in the new m-edge case correctly and it almost fell out when I shook it (over a sofa) to test the support. Luckily the two straps on the top right and bottom right held it from falling. Then I discovered I had not closed the hinge enough and made sure the top hinge was securely pushed upwards to "lock it". Installation instructions are not included with the case (weird) but are available from m-edge online. Amazon won't let me post the url, but if you go to the buymedge website you can view the installation intructions.
The look and feel of the case is very professional. I am very happy with this purchase and do not expect to be taking the Kindle out of it very often. The only little issue I have is that the tab is a bit too snug when it needs to be slid into the cover to close. A snap might have been a bit easier. Still not enough of a con to drop the rating. But the tab does tuck away easily so as not to interfere while reading, which is nice. |

| I bought this cover for my Kindle 2, and I love it. It utilizes the Kindle mounting system one the left side, and 2 elastic corner holders on the right. It feels substantial in your hand, without being bulky. It looks very well made, and the green color is beautiful. |

When I was placing my order for the Kindle 2, I knew I'd be needing a protective cover, as well. (I'm just too klutzy--or accident-prone--to get away with toting my new baby around au natural... ;) Sight unseen, though, I couldn't quite decide between the Prodigy and Amazon's K2 cover. What to do...?
Basically, I opted for the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" option of phoning a friend (who already had and was enjoying her own K2). Good decision. K2 (and undoubtedly K1) owners are passionate about their "toy", and more than willing to offer advice. My friend recommended the M-Edge unreservedly (although she herself chose the stand-up version), and effectively made up my mind for me.
Like I said, good (no, great!) decision. I couldn't be happier with my gorgeous green Prodigy cover. In person, it's something of an artichoke green; hard to describe, but it's really a rich, beautiful shade--definitely not garish, but not dull and blah, either, it's just perfect. The leather is top-notch, and the white topstitching is precisely even and uniform, giving my cover a classy finishing touch. The tab is extremely easy to use, and when reading, I just tuck it underneath the right-hand side of my K2. My *only* complaint is that the top metal tab (which holds the K2 in place at the "spine") seems to be ever-so-slightly misaligned, and slips *just* out of the upper hole. I debated returning it for a replacement, but since the bottom tab stays perfectly in place, and the two stretchy corner bands on the right hold that side quite well, I decided to just live with it as is.
Overall, I'm thrilled with my Prodigy K2 cover, and wouldn't hesitate recommending it to any K2 owner. It's really *that* good!
Addition to Review: Apparently, my K2 cover just needed to get broken in a little bit, because both tabs are now functioning properly, with my Kindle now fully secured. (I did also contact the company, M-Edge, about this issue, to see if they had any suggestions. They were wonderful--they got back to me right away, offered helpful tips, and were more than willing to replace my unit if it didn't work out.) I'm so pleased that my cover turned out to be just perfect--and happy, as well, to know that the company that makes these covers really stands behind their products. :) |

| This Jacket is excellent! Secures Kindle2 safely inside and has a nice suede-like fabric for protection. Love the color (got the green)and it's a perfect size. I had previously ordered a gel type cover and it was horrible. Highly recommend this jacket! |
