I spent a pretty good amount of time reviewing and comparing all the Kindle covers out there prior to purchasing my K2. After many rounds of elimination, my choices came down to two cases: the Patagonia and this one. From what I read, I clearly made the right choice.
I was a bit worried when I ordered this case after reading the negative reviews on Amazon for the same model cover in black. It seemed like an enormous oversight for a company that is only in business to make accessories for the Kindle to completely botch the design of a new product so badly. Thankfully I was right, as the CS at M Edge assured me that problem existed with the first run of Latitude covers for the K2 in black only. Apparently no other colors were affected, and they tested them all out.
Apparently they did just that because this case is nearly perfect. Excellent protection, great features, corner straps that actually HOLD the Kindle in place (that was the real deal breaker for me between this and the Patagonia) and all at $10 cheaper.
I would buy this case many times over before I even looked at anything else. |

| I purchased this case because it zips all the way around. I LOVE my Kindle, and I wanted to be able to take it everywhere, so I needed a case that would protect it while it was in my purse, or my school bag, or my computer bag, or whatever. This case definitely fits the bill. I've owned it for about two months, and I've never had any qualms about carrying my Kindle in this case. I was initially unsure about how secure the device would be in the case-- the little corner straps looked awfully small-- but my Kindle has never once come loose. I was also a little worried about how thin the covers were-- I didn't think that there would be enough paddig to cushion the Kindle-- but again, after using it, I feel that my Kindle is well-protected from the elements and from my own clumsiness. I haven't had much call to use the pockets. I do think that the charger might be a little large to fit comfortably in the front pocket, but that isn't a deal-breaker for me. I travel to Europe every year for at least 10 days, and I am confident that this case will meet all of my needs-- and I'm so glad I don't have to pack 480972634 books in my carry-on! |
Love this case

I highly recommend this case. It keeps the Kindle fully enclosed which means it is well-protected. I also like that I can leave it in the case to read. The reviews I read were very extremely helpful, but I do have a few things to add. I have not had any problems getting the zipper around the corners as some people have commented. I don't know if they have updated the mdse. based on feedback or if I just got lucky but the zippers move very smoothly. As far as the cord storage I agree that the adapter does not fit very well. However, the battery life on the Kindle is long enough that I don't need to recharge often so the cord isn't really needed. I just returned from a week-long vacation and my Kindle still has over half of the battery remaining.
I love my case and I hope this review and all of the others prove helpful. |
Great case for harsher users!

When I purchased my Kindle, I knew I immediately wanted to get a case with it. I knew I'd be carrying it to and from work in my bag, and didn't want it to get scratched up.
I knew I didn't want to get a cover one (like the leather one Amazon sells) because I throw a lot of stuff in my bag to and from work, will leave my Kindle on my seat in my car, will use it at a lakehouse, etc. Basically, my Kindle goes places with me, it doesn't just sit on an endtable in between reads. Therefore, I wanted a case that would completely cover and protect my Kindle when it was not being used. I wanted it protected from dust or crumbs as well as a little padding. I didn't want a sleeve either because I felt it would put me more at risk of dropping it when taking the sleeve off (I can't tell you how many times I've dropped my Ipod or Cell phone taking it out or putting it back into it's sleeve.
This case does not disappoint. The zippers are sturdy, and the case offers enough pad to keep the Kindle safe. It offers great protection without adding too much bulk. I love that with a little finagling, I can flip the case open and zip it so is stays open and I don't have to hold the cover side or have it dangling. The Kindle can be charged with the cover on, so it never has to be unprotected.
The pictures they show are a tad misleading so let me clarify a few things....They show the cover with a light....there is a slot for the M-Edge Light but it fits outside the cover, so your light will not be protected while the cover is closed. They also show the charger being stored in the front pocket. This could be done, but it is not practical. It would work well for transporting the charger with the Kindle, but I would not want to read the Kindle with the bulk of the charger in the front pocket. This will also keep you from zipping it open like I said above. These were not important options for me, so I didn't take away any stars, but if this (the light especially as many people need or use one quite often) is important to you, this may not be the case for you. I feel like this is a case that offers more than a covering for more active or harder users, so if that's you, you would most likely want your light in the case as well.
Bottom line is, I bought this with the hope of a strong, sturdy case that protected my Kindle while not in use, but one that would not get in the way while I was using it and I've been really pleased! |

| I'm very happy with this jacket for my Kindle. I looked at others that were leater book covers..I thought they were cute. However, I was worried about taking my Kindle on vacation where I'd be by the pool or on the beach. This jacket is great because it zips so that sand can not get in. I'm very happy with it! |
