eDevice I’m thinking about buying the Kindle 2 from Amazon, and I was wondering what everyone has to say about it. I don’t want to spend 400 dollars on something that I’m not going to enjoy. Any and all thoughts will be welcome.

I’ve made my pre-order and I can’t wait for it. I love the idea to carry lots of books and magazines anywhere without actually bringing the heavy books along with me. And I like the text-to-speech function, which means I can have my hand holding other things and eyes looking around but still reading (listening) the books. What a wonderful idea!
I ordered the Kindle 1 for my birthday. My birthday was on the 17th, I ordered on the 3rd. We are expecting it to arrive on the 2nd of March. I can’t wait. I can carry so many books on the plane no hassle! Plus the book costs less! When I don’t feel like reading, I can just have it read too me. I think it’s an amazing deal. : )

I forgot to say they switched my order of Kindle 1 to Kindle 2 automatically when the second Kindle came out.
