I’m thinking of buying a Kindle 2, but I’d like to see what is available and the prices of the books. I know new releases are like 10 dollars, but what about everything else.

Is The Original Kindle Better Than The New Version?
I don’t have a Kindle but I hear great things about it. I hear some prefer the original Kindle compared to the newer version that recently come out. For those people out there with both versions or know about both very well, which is better in you opinion? Also, how does the Kindle compare to the Sony reader and all other reading devices.
Thank you
Best Portable Reading Device? 10 Points Will Be Given!?
Hi,
I am looking into getting a portable reading device and I am having a difficult time deciding if it is worth buying Amazon’s SOLD OUT Kindle or just going for a couple hundred dollar cheaper Sony 505 model.
The Sony I am looking at seems to be comparable in quality to the Kindle. The only MAIN issue I have with the Sony is that I’m worried about where you can buy the books. Since unlike the Kindles you cannot just buy them on Amazon.com as far as I know.
So do you know where to buy the eBooks for the Sony?
So my main question is, is it worth it to buy a Kindle for about $400 or should I go with the Sony 505?
Oh and I would not be able to wait the 4-6 weeks to buy it from Amazon so I am stuck buying it from somewhere else for more expensive which is why the price of the Kindle would be around $400.
Thank you in advance!
Would You Rather Read Books Electronically On A Device Such As Kindle…or…read From Paper/hardback Books?
I like and enjoy reading books electronically now.
I own the Kindle 2, so let me give you some of my opinions about it. I’ve to say I love it! I think I’ve read over 30 books with my Kindle, no glitches so far! Kindle books are cheaper than actual books and I think I’ve saved over $100 for the books I’ve bought on the Kindle.
I like reading, and at the beginning I did miss a bit on the feeling of reading books. But now I love to hold the Kindle, the e-ink seems to work very well, it is really like reading books… Now I often read with the Kindle for several hours but I don’t feel tired… And I now prefer to manage all books inside the Kindle rather than my never big enough bookshelf… And like to do bookmarking, annotation, dictionary lookup without any additional thing but a Kindle.
One of the reasons I love my Kindle is that it has helped me improve a lot on my efficiency and utilize my time. Before I have the Kindle, waiting time like when I’m waiting for friends or waiting for shuttle bus or some thing like that is simply wasted. Now I just need to bring the Kindle 2 along with me, and all my favorite books are inside it. Another thing I like the most is the text-to-speech function, which means I can “read” books without even holding or looking at the Kindle. Now I like to use this function when I’ve myself busy on some boring things, say when I’m on the step machine or doing some housework…
There are quite a lot of free books (tips: if you’re outside the U.S. all the books will have US$2 added, but when you choose to download to computer when you check out, the $2 will be waived, and you can copy the books to your Kindle through USB cable), and many Kindle books, magazines and newspapers are cheaper than the actual paper version.
Hope it helps

How Long Before You Can Start Getting Magazine Subscriptions On The Kindle 2?

How Many Times Can You Read A Kindle Book?
I am considering getting a Kindle. I read somewhere that there is a limited # of times an e book can be read on a single device. This is to discourage people from sharing books. Any truth to this? I know they can only be downloaded a certain # of times.
Can I Download The Kindle Files (e.g. Kindle Books) From Amazon.com To Computer And Read Them?
