I really want a kindle because it will save me a ton of money, but I am worried about some reviews that I have read. Some say that the Kindle 2 is sturdy and hardy enough to last a long time, others say it is flimsy and weak. I Have even seen one saying that the device fell a total of five inches to the ground and busted entirely. I’d like some answers from real owners, or those with expierence.

im trying to put .DOC and PDF files onto my kindle through usb but i don’t know how. it says to drag and drop them to and from your file browser. i don’t know what that is or how to find it. do i drag the files to the kindle from the email they sent me or from somewhere else? please if you can, could someone tell me exactly step by step how to put the documents on. Thanks so much i really appreciate all the help i can get.

I am thinking about buying new kindle 2 device, but I still have couple questions:
1 I am student, and, apparently, we have a lot of readings (PDF and Word formats) posted on our university site. Will I be able to read those with kindle?
2 If anyone here has it, what is your personal feedback?
3 Are there any worthy alternatives to kindle 2?

I’m having trouble downloading books onto it. I try to do it from the kindle, but everytime I click ‘Shop in Kindle Store’ it tells me that it cannot connect. I also tried hooking it up to my computer and bought a kindle book off Amazon. Amazon told me that the book would be sent to my kindle, but it has yet to appear.
Does anyone else have this problem?
