Amazon Kindle 2 and the Barnes and Noble Nook are the two biggest heavyweights in the battle of the eBook reader now. There are many similarities, differences and criticism in two. What are they, and that is the best digital ebook reader? Let’s take a look.
E-Ink screens:
Both the Kindle 2 and Nook use the same E-Ink technology for their screen. Reading for hours on these eBook readers is like watching a computer screen. E-Ink screen displays the words, just as (or even more) to watch a real book.
The Nook has an additional screen navigation color below the display. This touch screen allows you to scroll the titles of books, magazines and other publications. There’s also a touch screen keyboard on the screen. No reviews are yet available for the performance of the screen, but consumers will soon be able to say everything.
Wireless and 3G:
Both the Kindle 2 and Nook boast wireless capabilities. You can download books and other publications, if you have access to a wireless network. If no wireless internet access is available, then 3G cellular function allows you to download in that situation.
International Availability:
Here is a big difference between the two eBook reader capability International. The Kindle 2 offers the ability to download books and they are fully used in over 100 countries, while the Nook is fully functional in the United States. Naturally, the device will work Nook, meaning you can still read the books outside the country, but you can not add more books or publications. This is obviously a very important point for international customers to consider.
Lending capacity-Nook:
The Nook has the ability to make you lend books to others who have downloaded the software Barnes and Noble. Need not necessarily have a corner to receive books on loan, only the software. You should know that the time the lender is only 2 weeks and the person who lends the book can not be used during that period. A good feature? Customers tell over time.
Storage space:
Both the Kindle 2 and Nook have base memory of 2 GB, which is good for about 1,500 books, however, the Nook allows more space to be added to raise upwards of 17,500 titles. 2 Gigs is enough? Well, read one book a day and you have 4 years of reading material!
Other:
The Kindle device has a slightly lighter, text-to-speech technology, and an ability to surf the net, while the Nook non.
Another notable difference is the software in the Google Android Nook. Barnes and Noble has chosen this software, development banks and applications software developers, who will work with the Nook. We will see how the software is running and if there is an iPod as the popularity in applications.
